 Judge Michael Jones Jr. is the Presiding Judge of the Justice of the Peace Court in Precinct 4, a position he has held since being elected in 2018. With over 25 years of experience in city government, real estate, and higher education, Judge Jones brings extensive knowledge to his judicial role. His areas of expertise include project management, property management, municipal budgeting, departmental reorganization, and civil contracts.

Judge Jones serves as the Broker and President of a real estate brokerage that focuses on commercial real estate. His background in property management encompasses overseeing approximately 1,200 government-owned properties, including tax foreclosures and those held by non-profit organizations. Additionally, Judge Jones has taught business and real estate courses at Dallas College and is a licensed instructor recognized by the Texas Real Estate Commission and Texas Realtors Association for commercial real estate education.

A dedicated community member, Judge Jones is active on several boards and committees, including the Dallas County Advancement in Technology, the Dallas College Criminal Justice Board, the DeSoto Independent School District Career and Technology Advisory Council, and the Irving Independent School District Criminal Justice Advisory Board. He has previously held positions as Mayor Pro Tem for the City of Glenn Heights, a Director for the Glenn Heights Improvement Corporation, a Board Member for the City of Wilmer Type A Economic Development Board, the Criminal Justice Chair for the NAACP in Grand Prairie, and board member of the Texas Association of Realtors Housing Opportunity Foundation.

Judge Mike Jones has worked tirelessly to support the community through initiatives like rent relief, mental health support, and driver’s license restoration. He’s helped tenants access the Dallas County Eviction Diversion Program, organized mental health seminars, and assisted individuals in regaining their driver’s licenses. His efforts reflect his commitment to justice, accessibility, and improving lives within the community.
