Judge Mike Jones is from Dallas, Tx. He attended schools in the Desoto High School Independent School District and graduated from DeSoto High School. Judge Mike Jones has always strived to make a difference in the community by volunteering and being a vocal leader for community advancement. Mike is committed to serving his community by actively serving on various boards and professional associations. He is a well-rounded and innovative individual who believes in making positive changes.

Modernizing the Court
We have digitized all paper files and implemented a paperless kiosk with a text-alert system to minimize wait times. Additional paperless solutions are in development, and I serve on Dallas County’s Advancement in Court Technology committee to help enhance technological advancements throughout the county.
First-Term Highlights
I led the implementation of a new case management system for all county Justice Courts. I expanded court hours, introduced online e-filing, and collaborated with legal aid and human services to support tenants and landlords, helping to prevent evictions. Additionally, I organized numerous community events, including Eviction Relief Seminars, Mental Health Seminars, Driver License Restoration Clinics, and the Annual State of Justice event.
Community & Crisis Response
Implemented COVID-19 protocols and participated in a countywide order to temporarily halt evictions during the pandemic. Launched online filing and payment options, suspended in-person hearings in accordance with Supreme Court directives, and increased virtual court hearings as needed. Additionally, introduced Teen Court to provide support for Vaping, juvenile truancy, and at-risk youth.
